Why should my group participate in the People First Community Lottery?

Reasons to register for the Community Lottery

Register your community group here

Since 1984, community groups have raised over $22 million to support projects and initiatives within their communities with the People First Community Lottery. The Community Lottery is now open for this year and you can be part of it too, along with hundreds of animal rescues, volunteer services, sporting groups and many more community groups. Ticket sales close 25 July 2024, so your group has plenty of time to get involved and fundraise. So why should you register your group in the Community Lottery?

1. Pocket 100% of your ticket proceeds
All funds raised by your group in the Community Lottery go straight to your group. People First Bank and our proud business and media partners facilitate the administration, advertising, and prizes so 100% of every $2 ticket sold goes back to your community group.

2. Your supporters have a chance to win a prize
While your group’s supporters are helping you raise funds by buying tickets, they also go in the draw for a chance to win a great prize. With 52 prizes up for grabs including a Toyota Kluger GX AWD Hybrid (RRP $63,861), a Toyota Corolla Ascent Hybrid Hatch (RRP $36,529) and a Kozco Energy Colar Panel/Battery Package (RRP $23,490), they are in the draw for a chance to win!

3. You can fundraise 24/7
As the Community Lottery is 100% online, your group can raise funds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You don’t need to worry about finding time in your busy schedule to go out and sell tickets, you can fundraise anytime, anywhere.

4. No minimum to what you can raise
You can go big or small, the choice is yours. Whether you want to raise funds to help with a big project like renovating your club house or buying additional food for rescue animals, you can decide your fundraising goal. You can also increase your goal throughout the Community Lottery period, so you can encourage your supporters to buy more tickets to help your group.

5. No messy paper work
Avoid the messy paper work and apply in minutes with the Community Lottery being 100% online. You can apply for your group to participate in the Community Lottery in the comfort of your own home, anytime. No need for a printer or mountains of paper work, or taking hours to fill out forms, you can complete your registration in no time.

6. $2 per ticket means anyone can buy a ticket to support your club
The low ticket price of $2 means anyone can buy tickets to support your club. Whether someone wants to purchase a single ticket or a bundle, you can sell widely.
